Brenna Sweeney
Brenna is a senior at Our Lady of Mercy High School. She was
inducted into the National Honor Society and received academic
awards for AP Physics and Pre-Calculus Honors, she received the
NYS Scholar Athlete Award and was chosen to participate in the
American Mathematics Competition in both 10th & 11th grade.
Brenna enjoys babysitting, photography and dance. Dancing since
age 3, she is a member of Fitzsimmons Dance Factory where she
practices daily and competes both regionally and nationally every
year. Brenna plans to attend the University of Notre Dame, majoring
in Business this Fall.
Bryan Heinlein
Bryan is a junior at the University of Scranton. Bryan has been on
the Dean’s List all five semesters. He has been coach and vice
president of Club Crew, the founder and former president of Mock
Trial, an Intern to the President, Assistant to the Director of Alumni
Retreats, and Soccer Referee for the US Soccer Association since
2003. Bryan will continue this fall at the University of Scranton to
complete his double major in Business Administration and Philosophy.
2009-2010 Academic Scholarship Winners:
All applicants are judged on academic achievement in school and
personal characteristics by an independent Panel of college and/or high school educators.
No members of the Electrical Association are permitted to serve on the panel.
The association wishes to thank all of those who put forth the effort to apply. We had many
outstanding candidates and, as always, are sorry that we cannot present the award to all of them.
2009-2010 School-To-Work Scholarship Winner:
Adam Bishop
Adam is Senior at Pembroke High School and enrolled in the
Genesee Valley BOCES Building Trades Program, specializing in
Electrical, Plumbing & Heating. He has worked for Landmark House
Inc. and helped build two houses through the BOCES program.
Adam plans to pursue a career in the Electrical Trades field and
attend an electrical apprentice program this fall.
The purpose of the Electrical Association of Rochester (EAR) is to
educate the community on the safe and efficient use of electricity
and technology as well as to promote the common interests of the
electrical industry in the exchange of information.
