The purpose of the Construction & Maintenance Division of the Electrical Association of
Rochester is to provide educational and informational programs of primary interest to, but not
limited to, the Industrial Electrical Community.
What is CMD?
The Construction & Maintenance Division [CMD] is a separate group sponsored by the Electrical
Association of Rochester [EAR]. From October through May CMD offers monthly educational
and informational programs to keep all electricians/engineers in the greater Rochester area
up-to-date on the latest innovations in the field. The CMD programs offer a great opportunity to
network with some of your peers, and there are tabletop displays of electrical products and
services at every program. There is even an “onsite learning opportunity” with a
behind-the-scenes Tour of an electrical project in the area.
Programs start at 5:30 p.m. A forty-five minute to one-hour presentation will enlighten you on a
current topic and provide time for questions and answers. Immediately following is a social hour
with pizza, chicken wings and soft drinks which are included in your registration fee. A cash
bar is also provided for your convenience.
The CMD program is funded by a combination of support including Corporate Sponsors,
Registration fees [$20 for all 8 programs] and the Electrical Association of Rochester. Programs
are developed specifically for electricians and include tabletop displays of products and services
specifically related to that month's topic. The evening concludes with refreshments and networking
opportunities.
